June pattern highlights!

Posted by Kirsty Fife on

Hello and welcome to the shop blog! The purpose of this space is to share resources, links and to amplify the work of other makers. I will also be posting my makes, and posting reviews of patterns and equipment I use for my own sewing.

I'm also going to use this space to share PDF patterns that might be of interest. There are only so many independent pattern designers producing paper patterns which we can stock, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to signal boost PDF pattern makers. I'm hoping these posts will inspire you to get making (maybe using supplies from DIY or Dye?) and also to show some love to other independent designers out there.

Note on sizing: I'm a size 26 (UK) in clothes myself, and I'll be aiming to showcase patterns that are available in a wide size range.

Here's June's round up!

1. Misty Top and Dress by Sew Altered Style

The Misty Top and Dress has been on my list for months now. This is available in sizes 0-30 and I love the strappy details. A great lightweight summer make!

2. Tilly and the Buttons Bobbi Pinafore and Skirt (available through us!)

Tilly and the Buttons Bobbi pinafore is one of our first stocked patterns (along with four other Tilly and the Buttons' patterns). This is a pinafore and skirt pattern available in size 6-24 (UK). I can't wait to get the corduroy out with this pattern.

3. Rad Patterns Woven Jumpsuit

This pattern is currently on sale for $5 (I've just bought it!), and goes up to a generous 6XL in sizing. Perfect for a boilersuit or cosplay outfits. Review forthcoming...

4. Daily Tee by The Wolf and The Tree

A nice and simple but classic tee pattern available up to 4XL. This would look great adapted into a ringer tee.
